During a visit to Paris on 12 and 13 November 2013, minister in charge of European integrations Branko Ruzic and chief of the negotiating team of the Republic of Serbia for EU accession professor Dr Tanja Miscevic, met with the French Minister for European Affairs Thierry Repentin to discuss Serbian accession to EU as well as bilateral issues related to further implementation of the Strategic Partnership Agreement and strenghtenning of economic cooperation. The Ministers underlined that bilateral relations between Serbia and France have been steadily improving. Mr Repentin emphasized that Serbia can count on strong support of France on the path to its EU accession. Mr Ruzic and Ms Miscevic expressed their expectation that the first accession conference between Serbia and EU will be held on 20 December this year. During their visit to France, Minister Ruzic and chief negotiator Tanja Miscevic also met with French secretary-general for European Affairs Serge Guillon, Chairperson of the Committee for European Affairs of the French National Assembly Daniel Oroa, as well as with senators and officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They spoke about Serbia’s European future at the conferences at CERI institute and European Commission office in Paris.
